Late / Absence Procedures
Pupil Absence
If your child is unwell or there are exceptional circumstances which means your child will not be at school please inform us in one of the following ways:
- Ring the school on 029 2046 2915 before school begins
- Email us at stalbansprm@cardiff.gov.uk
If we have not received a message that your child is absent, a member of staff will telephone you to find out where your child is. This is for your child’s safety and to ensure that we know they are safe, so please be understanding if you receive a call from us.
Holiday Requests
Leave of absence during term time will be discouraged. Parents and carers do not have the automatic right to withdraw their children from school for an annual holiday and will be reminded of the effect that absence can have on a pupil’s potential achievement.
