Health and Wellbeing

Health and Wellbeing

As a school, we are committed to supporting not just the physical but also the emotional health and well-being of our pupils, staff and school community. We know that everyone experiences life challenges that can make anyone feel vulnerable. We have a role in ensuring all our pupils learn about: what they can do to maintain a positive mental health; what affects their mental health; how they can help reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues and where they can go if they need help or support.

We are excited to introduce Thrive to St Albans

We aim to ensure we provide the support pupils may need to manage times of change, upset or stress. If you are concerned about your child’s mental health or well-being, please speak to you child’s class teacher. In school, we can provide different levels of support which include 1-1 Thrive sessions and Nurture group sessions. Together, we can plan the best course of action for your child.

Healthy Schools Award

We have achieved the phase 3 Healthy Schools award and we are currently working towards phase 4.
