Important - School reopens on Thursday 6th January 2022 for pupils
Dear Parents and Carers,
We have today had an announcement from the Welsh Government that in January after the Christmas holidays, all schools in Wales will have two planning days at the start of the spring term. This will allow schools time to assess staffing capacity and put the necessary measures in place to support the safe return of learners. St Alban’s will now open for pupils on Thursday 6th January 2022.
Our priority continues to be to minimise the disruption to education and to ensure where possible, that learners continue to receive face to face learning, as well as keeping learners and school staff safe.
The restrictions remain that if you have any COVID symptoms at the start of the term, you must book a PCR test and wait for the results before returning to school.
This is a very fast moving situation which the Welsh Government are monitoring closely. If there is a need to issue further updates during the school holidays, we will inform you via the school website and school text messaging service.
I wish you a safe and happy Christmas with your families and hope and pray that school will resume as normal as possible on January 6th.
Thank you again for your continued support,
God bless,
Mrs Rachel Woodward
Headteacher
